Heliospectra is a market leader in intelligent LED grow lights for commercial growers and plant scientists. The company was announced second fastest growing tech company in Sweden by Deloitte in 2017. We are now looking for a proven Marketing Director to manage our marketing and communications team. This is a full-time temporary position spanning 9 months. You will be based at the Heliospectra headquarter in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Job Description

Heliospectra AB is looking for a talented and passionate Marketing Director to join our fast-growing company and drive our marketing and lead generation activities. Your main responsibility will be to drive and lead our marketing department forward and be responsible for events, content strategy and execution of the company’s marketing activities.

The role as Marketing Director is a great opportunity for someone who wants to gain international experience, as you will work closely with Heliospectra’s regional marketing and sales teams to successfully implement different marketing initiatives globally. You will have the opportunity to employ the full range of your marketing toolbox, but what will ultimately make you succeed is your passion for communication and a strong drive to get things done!

Area of Responsibility

  • Development and implementation of the Brand strategy.
  • Manage and create the communications related to investor relations
  • Develop the marketing strategy for new and existing products
  • Overseeing implementation of the marketing strategy - including campaigns, events, digital marketing, and PR.
  • Working closely with the company’s sales team; enabling them to meet their commercial objectives by providing them with appropriate tools, materials and presentations
  • Guiding the day to day activities of the marketing team.
  • Ensuring that the marketing objectives are implemented by the marketing team.
  • Work closely with product management team to define marketing materials and programs.
  • Manage social media presence and direct programs to improve social media reputation and recognition.
  • Developing and delivering marketing and communications strategies for the organization.
  • Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends.

Required qualifications

  • An academic degree or equivalent within the area of business, marketing or communications
  • Min 5 years’ professional work experience in communications or marketing roles
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong understanding of how current digital marketing channels function and their best practices
  • Ability to express technically complex content in easy to understand form
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Experience working in a B2B marketing environment, a plus if you have experience of marketing technical products
  • Demonstrated experience in various marketing communications disciplines
  • A passion for communication and a natural sense for look, feel and tonality
  • Fluent in both Swedish and English
  • Ability to manage external stakeholders (agencies, freelancers, suppliers, etc)

Location: Gothenburg. The position will require some travelling, often internationally.

Extension: Full-time position.
